Reverse conversion options
US 4.0 GPA → percentage is the inverse of percentage → GPA. There is no universal formula. The most common conventions:
- Simple proportion: Percentage = (GPA / 4) × 100. A 3.5 GPA becomes 87.5%.
- WES table inverse: 4.0 → 85+%, 3.7 → 75-84%, 3.3 → 70-74%, 3.0 → 65-69%, etc.
- Indian convention: Percentage = (GPA × 25) - 12.5. A 3.5 GPA becomes ~75%.
